This list has most certainly whetted the appetite. The influence of fascist Italy, the nastiness of Diamonds Are Forever, views on shooting, hunting and fishing, the miners massacre revisted, etc., etc. - you seem to be blessed with the ability to pinpoint issues in the Bondian universe that, while felt emotionally by the viewer, are not always recognised by the conscious mind!
ReplyDeleteAnd great fun titles as well -
ReplyDeleteBeyond the tip of the tentacle, Where Have All The Private Armies Gone?, John Gardner’s EuroDisneyland of Death, The Earth’s Holocaust by a Space-Age Hitler, etc., etc.
Thank you again for your kind words, Andrew. Much appreciated - I think that The Bondologist Blog will prove to be your kind of blog as we seem to have an affinity in seeking to illuminate the less-explored areas of the James Bond universe. You may be pleasantly surprised by the content of some of the articles to come over the course of 2013. The Kingsley Amis first article should be puiblished by the end of the week! I think it should be a good one - stayed tuned!
ReplyDeleteI've just revised the titles, with some titles being replaced and amended - it's really a work in progress!
ReplyDeleteI've revised the titles of the articles a little further for the 2013-2014 season on The Bondologist Blog.
